PALE-HEADED ROSELLAS IN THE WARRUMBUNGLES
About 8 years ago, three aviary Pale-headed Rosellas were released in the
N.P.
There have been occasional sightings over the past few years (although I
have
only seen one once, in the company of a flock of Eastern Rosellas), but at
least one was paired and breeding with an Eastern Rosella last year.

The Hunter Bird Observers Club had a camp at Rocky Creek Bore in the Pilliga
State Forest, about 40km North of the Warrumbungles at Easter, 1989 ( +/- a
year). A bird was observed there by most present that was very likely to
have been a cross between a Pale-headed and an Eastern Rosella.
