Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the next DCLDE (Detection, Classification, Localization, and Density Estimation of Marine Mammals using Passive Acoustics) Workshop will take place at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, USA.
The conference will be held August 2–6, 2027, with training workshops on August 1, 2027.
DCLDE brings together researchers and practitioners working on advanced methods for detecting, classifying, localizing, and estimating the density of marine mammals using passive acoustics. As part of the workshop activities, we will also organize three data challenges, and the associated datasets are already available.
Additional details about the conference, the challenges, and dataset access are available at https://dclde.org. The website is still under development, and more information will be added soon.
To help share updates about the conference and the challenges, we have created a mailing list for DCLDE 2027: m("cornell.edu","dclde-L");" id="OWAa224dcef-c752-2a6d-708b-995dd403f3e6" class="x_x_OWAAutoLink" style="color: rgb(70, 120, 134);">. We also plan to use this list for future DCLDE workshops.
To subscribe to the mailing list:
  1. Send an email message to m("cornell.edu","dclde-L-request");" id="OWA67aff234-3be7-5b7f-bc09-895b1560c90f" class="x_x_OWAAutoLink" style="color: rgb(70, 120, 134);">
  2. For the subject line of your message, type the single word: join
  3. Leave the body of the message blank
Important: You must send this message from the email address you want to use to receive the mailing list messages.
Please share this announcement with colleagues and students who may be interested. Further information about registration, submissions, and the program will be shared as it becomes available.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ithaca in 2027.
Best regards,
The DCLDE Organizing Committee

At the Yang Center, we work flexibly, and while it suits me to email now, I don’t anticipate a response outside your regular work hours. Thanks!
