Dear bioacoustics researchers,

I am looking for researchers who study the behavior and vocalizations of laboratory rats. We have recently released version 4.0 of UltraVox, a software tool that does automated call detection based on frequency, amplitude, call duration and time gaps. Now we want to take the next step: automated call classification. For that purpose, we are looking for annotated audio files with rat vocalizations, which can serve as ground truth for training our AI-based classifiers. Ideally, not necessarily, with corresponding video. Do you have such data, and would you like to join us on this journey? Then please reply to this post and we will discuss how we can collaborate.

If you want to see what the latest version of UltraVox looks like, go to https://noldus.com/ultravox-xt and download a free trial version of the software. Critical feedback from the experts in this community is most welcome too!

Kind regards,

Lucas Noldus
