EMERGING BIOACOUSTICIANS DAYS (JJBA) 2024

After a very successful first edition, we are pleased to announce the return of the JJBA (Emerging Bioacousticians Days), a unifying event for the young bioacoustics community, which will take place from June 25 to 28 in Brest, right next to Oceanopolis, the well known aquarium and scientific culture center dedicated to the ocean.

For this new edition, all young researchers (interns, PhD students, post-docs) are invited to share their research during oral presentations or poster sessions. We aim to put the spotlight on various aspects of bioacoustics: comparative bioacoustics, biological production and perception of sound, ecoacoustics, passive acoustic monitoring, human vocal communication, signal processing, acoustic propagation in various environments, or any related topic !

Just like the previous edition, we are particularly committed to bringing together a large community of young researchers while minimizing costs: every participant will be provided accommodation and meals at the conference venue.

In addition to oral presentations, various workshops will be offered, allowing participants to explore new applications and uses of bioacoustics. These workshops are still in the planning stage, and our team is open to all your suggestions for organizing them.

If you are willing to participate in this conference, please simply visit our website (https://jjbioacoustique.wixsite.com/jjba) to pre-register. You will soon receive all the information regarding the program and registration details.

We hope to see many of you in Brest next summer!

The ‘JJBA’ team
