The Discovery of Sound in the Sea (DOSITS) Team is pleased to host a special webinar in celebration of the project's 20th anniversary. Underwater acoustics experts will discuss the current state of knowledge and future research directions on the characterization of the underwater acoustic environment and the acoustics of marine mammals, fishes and invertebrates.  Presenters will include:
  • Dr. Joseph Sisneros (marine fishes)
  • Dr. Louise Roberts (marine invertebrates)
  • Dr. Brandon Southall (marine mammals)
  • Dr. Alec Duncan (underwater acoustic environment)
The 90-minute webinar will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 starting at 12pm EDT.  It will be hosted via Zoom and simultaneously streamed on YouTube. The full webinar event will also be recorded; a video will be posted to the DOSITS website for later viewing. Presentation outlines, with DOSITS links, can also be found online on the 2022 DOSITS Webinar Series page.

All interested individuals, including informal and formal educators, upper level students, scientists, resource managers, policymakers, and other stakeholders, are encouraged to participate in this informative and engaging webinar event. Please  share the event widely within your networks!
