The last webinar in the Discovery of Sound in the Sea (DOSITS) 2022 webinar series is TODAY, October 12, 2022, at 12pm ET. During this free, 60-minute webinar, Dr. Kathleen Wage will provide an overview of acoustic signal processing, including recording (sampling), filtering, and analysis. Dr. John Ryan will also present about soundscapes and how signal processing can be used to distill ocean soundscape data and inform resource management. As with all other DOSITS webinars, today's presentations will be followed by a period of facilitated discussion.

This event is open to all interested individuals, however, registration is required. For a registration link and other details, please visit the 2022 Webinar Series page on the DOSITS website: https://dosits.org/decision-makers/webinar-series/2022-webinar/.

All DOSITS webinars are hosted via Zoom and a YouTube link will also be made available to registered participants. All webinars are recorded and the webinar video will be posted to the DOSITS website about 1-2 weeks following the live event. All DOSITS Webinar archives can be accessed through the DOSITS Webinar page: https://dosits.org/decision-makers/webinar-series/.

DOSITS is again offering a free Certificate of Professional Development in association with the 2022 Underwater Acoustics Webinar Series. For certificate requirements and other details, please visit the 2022 DOSITS Webinar Series page: https://dosits.org/decision-makers/webinar-series/2022-webinar/

Save the date! A special DOSITS 20th anniversary webinar, separate from the 2022 webinar series, will take place at 12pm ET on November 30, 2022. In addition to commemorating 20 years for the DOSITS project, experts from the underwater acoustics community will be providing updates on the current state of knowledge on marine mammals, fishes, and invertebrates and underwater sound, as well as where the research is going or needs to go. A broad perspective on the characterization of the underwater acoustic environment will also be provided. Presentations will be followed by a facilitated panel discussion and participant Q&A. All details will be posted to the DOSITS Webinar Series page: https://dosits.org/decision-makers/webinar-series/2022-webinar/.
