Hi everyone, for those interested in the BAR bioacoustic recorder but are wanting to talk to others who have used it please email me for their email addresses.
As for use in tropical environments 3 researchers have taken it to Papua New Guinea.
One of which is Ed Game from The Nature Conservancy you can see our recorder strapped to a tree here and a recording from it that you can listen to.

Another is Dr Kyle Armstrong from Specialised Zoological

Also Karen Rowe from Museum Victoria and she also has written a testimonial on our webshop here.

Our first customer who has used them the longest is Dr Paul McDonald from Univeristy of New England. Note this isn't a tropical environment but he has had them the longest.

Also we have demo units that people can borrow if they pay the freight. Typically it's AUD$80 to 90 each way to Europe and the USA. We're in Australia. Note that the webshop doesn't have pricing for freight outside of Australia yet but email me for a quote until we've got that updated.

You can download the manual and scheduling software here.
