Dear everybody,
I would like to thank you, Alan, for remember women scientists. Unfortunately we women still have to struggle to find gender balance in science and I'm proud to see a man helping us. I'm sure the organization of IBAC meeting will find some very good women scientists that can attend to this international meeting.
All the Best,
Malu

thank you very much for your efforts in organising the next IBAC meeting. I hope that the meeting is a great success.
However, I do find it very unfortunate that in 2015, only 1/5 of the plenary talks will be given by female scientists.
Overall, I would urge IBAC and others to aim for greater gender balance in its meetings, especially when it comes to the high profile plenaries.
See for example, the UK's Athena Swan program for further information. http://www.ecu.ac.uk/equality-charter-marks/athena-swan/
