Hi Gianni,

We think JASCO’s Spectroplotter is a pretty good tool and we’ve made it available for evaluation and use by some researchers in the past – it is pretty darn intuitive.

We use it internally for all our data analysis of marine environments (and we collect and analyze a lot of data).  We also have some pretty good auto-detectors/classifiers that are sometimes bundled with Spectroplottter

The disadvantage of Spectroplotter is it perhaps a little-less product like than some of the other offerings ….but it might be worth you considering it.  If you have any interest – please let me know.

John

dear all, I'm searching for a software to make labels or annotations, e.g. to mark and label specific points in time or specific freqeuncy-time areas on spectrograms of wav files.

the main requirement, other that being easy to use, is to maintain the data separate from the wav file, without touching the wav file.

any suggestion ?

Gianni
