The third international conference on Effects of Noise on Aquatic Life is taking place in Budapest August 11-16, 2013. The meeting, like its predecessors in Nyborg (2007) and Cork (2010) will bring together
scientists, regulators, industry, and environmental groups to look at the “big picture” of the effects of man-made sounds on aquatic life. The past meetings have been great places to learn about the latest advances in the field, and to share ideas across species
group and sound sources. They are also a great place to network with a large and broad international audience.
The meeting web site is www.an2013.org
Individuals working on effects of noise on any marine organism, or on the sounds sources that might produce noise, or those who are in environmental groups or regulators, are invited to submit abstracts for
presentation. We also have the web site opened to receive requests for financial support, and we are guaranteeing at least the cost of registration to any student or postdoc (within 3 years of the doctorate) who is first author on an abstract.
The absolute closing date for abstract submission is April 15, 2013.
