*Tuesday, 5 June, is the deadline for submission of abstracts for the Kansas City
meeting*. We hope that you will consider submitting an abstract for presentation at
the meeting. Please visit the ASA website <http://www.acousticalsociety.org> to
view or download the online call for papers and for the link to the submission site.
ASA is also pleased to announce the launch of the ASA online book ordering site. ASA
books in print or on CD Rom, and other publications such as the Auditory
Demonstration CD and Measuring Speech Production DVD are available for sale.
Publications include classics in acoustics, poster collections, translations, paper
collections, and biographical and historical works. Tables of contents, prefaces, and
other information about items for sale are available for review without charge. The
site is searchable and a variety of shipment options are provided. We hope you will
visit this new site to purchase ASA publications. The book site can be accessed via
