Here at the Centre for Ultrasonic Engineering, at the University
of Strathclyde (Glasgow, UK), I have a PhD studentship available for research
into insect bioacoustics. Research themes include the biomechanics of hearing
systems, the linkages between neural processing and the mechanical structures
of the ear, and biomimetic/bioinspired ultrasonic sensory systems. Applications
are invited from biologists, physicists and engineers, who are interested in
working in a interdisciplinary research group.
The studentship is available to UK and EU students.
