Call for Student Volunteers at ASA_NOISE-CON 2010 in Baltimore, MD
April 19-23, 2010

Please forward this to any students who may be interested, especially
if they are local to Baltimore area.

What? The joint Acoustical Society of America and NOISE-CON will be
held in Baltimore, MD at the Marriot Waterfront from Monday, April 19
though Friday April 23. Full program information can be found at
asa.aip.org under "Baltimore Meeting". This is an especially full
conference with policy makers and researchers from a huge array of
acoustic and sound-related fields.

Tasks? We are looking for student volunteers (either graduate or
undergraduate) for the ASA/NOISE Conference in Baltimore, MD.
Volunteer's most important responsibilities will include monitoring
one or two session rooms for audio-visual equipment issues, session
chair needs, and other on-the-spot problems. Volunteers will also help
set up and change the room signs for morning, afternoon, and evening
sessions. Finally, volunteers may be asked to help in miscellaneous
duties.

When? Of course, we'd be happy for volunteers to commit to as many
days as possible, but at least half a day at a time. We especially
need volunteers on *Tuesday* and *Wednesday* (April 20-21), though we
need to cover the entire week.

Your benefits? Fame, fortune, glory, and adulation. Well, adulation
anyway. In addition, volunteers can receive free conference
registration, free lunch on the days you are on duty, your parking
paid, and access to a special hotel room to relax.

Interested? Please email: a) how many days (or half-days) maximum you
would be willing to volunteer, b) *which* days you prefer, and c) any
sessions you particularly wish to attend (and can therefore
"volunteer" during that time). Note that you are welcome to
"volunteer" any session in which you also are giving a talk (if that's
not too nerve-wracking).

Contact me via email with your enthusiastic spirit of volunteerism or
with any questions:

Cheers,
Peter
