Dear all, Recordings of the Downy Woodpecker (Picoides pubescens), especially calls (not drumming) are badly needed for a study of vocal variation in a comparative context. Any recording between May and August from any part of Canada and the US is very valuable. Thanks in advance for those who want to cooperate and for communicate this with any potential colleague or friend that may have recordings. Acknowledgments will be given in any further publication.
