Volume 40 of the Advances in the Study of Behavior has just been published and is a theme volume on Vocal Communication in Birds and Mammals.

It contains chapters a total of 8 chapters on bird song, delphinid communication, alarm calling and plasticity of communication in nonhuman primates. Authors include Brumm, Gil, Hall, Janik, Lahti, Mahler, Moseley, Naguib, Podos, Riebel, Snowdon, and Zuberbuehler.
