Forwarded from Art Popper <>: We are are announcing an international conference on THE EFFECTS OF NOISE ON AQUATIC LIFE that will take place in Nyborg, Denmark, August 13-17, 2007. The conference is being organized by Anthony Hawkins (UK), Arthur Popper (USA), Peter Tyack (USA), and Magnus Wahlberg (Denmark). The purpose of the conference is to bring together an international group of scientists and others interested in this subject to discuss the scientific basis of our knowledge and to share ideas and findings. Participation by industry, regulators, and others is strongly encouraged. The first announcement of the conference can be found at www.NoiseEffects.umd.edu. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact any of the organizers. Please note that an expression of interest in participating in the conference must be received by Dr. Eva Wysocki <> no later than January 31, 2007. |
