EXTENDED DEADLINES! (to Feb. 29)
This meeting will be the 3rd in a series of Institute of Acoustics
Symposia on Bio-Sonar and Bio-acoustic Systems held at Loughborough
University.
The schedule for submitting abstracts, notifying authors and
submitting papers has been delayed due to the death on 13 January 2004
of David Goodson, who played a major role in initiating and planning
the two previous symposia on Bio-Sonar Systems and Bio-Acoustics.
As a tribute to Dave's contribution to the field of bio-acoustics, a
Dave Goodson Memorial Lecture will be given by Whitlow Au of the
Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology. We wish to encourage anyone who
has collaborated directly with Dave to submit a paper on that work for
inclusion in a Memorial Session.
Although this Symposium concentrates on marine bioacoustics, there is
much to learn from related work in airborne sound and other fields, so
we are eager to receive contributions from all relevant areas.
