I am interested in recognizing biotopes by their acoustic patterns.
Can anyone provide reference(s) to an introduction to the field, or to
research in this area? Does anyone know of any researchers working in this
area? I have a special interest in the acoustic pattern of simple biotopes,
such as the boreal forest dominated by Picea abies or city parks. Does
anyone know of any work or results on acoustic patterns of simple biotopes?
Your sincerely,

P.S. My dissertation defense will take place in Uppsala, Sweden, on the
12th of Sept. "Site Soundscapes - landscape architecture in the light of
sound." You are all welcome to attend.
