 This is a reminder that the First International Conference on Acoustic 
 Communication by Animals, jointly sponsored by the Acoustical Society 
 of America and the Center for Comparative and Evolutionary Biology of 
 Hearing at the University of Maryland, takes place July 27-30 2003.

 UPDATE ON TRAVEL SUPPORT TO ATTEND THE MEETING
 
 We are pleased to announce that we have received additional funding for 
 the conference and we have EXTENDED THE DATE TO APPLY FOR SUPPORT until 
 April 1, 2003. Support is available to graduate students and to 
 postdocs within three years of getting their degree. IN ADDITION, funds 
 are also available to support attendance by faculty from developing 
 countries. Please see the meeting document on our web page for further 
 information about travel awards, and again, note the change in deadline 
 to apply for such awards.
